Senior Spotlight - Class of 2024 Name: Christian Witt Goals for my future: My plan A is to pursue Meteorology at Central Michigan University with a Master’s Degree in Atmospheric Sciences. My plan B is to take a Gap Year and find a full time job immediately after graduation and save up money and then see where I am at with my life at that time. Most memorable Gobles Public Schools memory: Going to the Lakeshore Marching Invitational in 2019 during the “One Giant Leap” show and winning 1st place at the competition, scoring a new school record for the highest score at the competition. The number one skill I am taking with me after graduation is: Taking time to do things. High School taught me not to rush through things and enjoy where I am at and what I am doing because it won’t last forever. What sports, hobbies, extracurriculars have you been a part of since 9th grade? Some extracurriculars I have participated in since 9th grade is Marching Band and Quiz Bowl. Also being the secretary officer of the Gobles Chapter of the National Honor Society. Superpower you wish you had: Teleportation from Point A to Point B Favorite restaurant: Olive Garden Fun fact about me: I’ve been working in the summer camp setting since I was 13 years old. I am also a twin to my brother Connor, which if you know us, we don’t look or act anything alike. My advice to future GHS students: Respect your teachers and faculty staff. They give up their personal time to make curriculum and assignments to help each one of us be successful young individuals. Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Also, be kind to the school buildings. Throwing things all over the bathroom walls (boys, I’m talking to you specifically) is highly disrespectful. There are people who already work hard at the school to keep things clean, and nobody thinks you're cool doing that kind of stuff. What I want the community to know about GHS: Gobles is a school that is successful in keeping its students safe. The provisions the school board oversees has been something that has been controversially point-in-reach succeded to help the students and community have a better repetoir to the outside public. Respect is very carefully constructed at the school through the rules they have, and if you are respectful, then you will be successful.

We are excited to highlight Christian Witt this week in our Senior Spotlight!
