Kelli Rumery Memorial Scholarship

Kelli Rumery memorial scholarship will be a $5000 yearly scholarship for a student attending a trade school. This Scholarship was formed to honor the memory of Kelli Rumery who fought a long hard battle with cancer and was taken from us far too soon! Kelli is remembered as a work hard/play hard man who loved the outdoors, building businesses, motocross, hunting, and being a loving husband and father. He was aggressive in work, love, and life. Kelli attended Gobles public schools for all 12 years of schooling with part of his last couple years being at the tech center. After graduating, he went into the trades, attaining an apprenticeship at sheet metal workers local7 and received his journeyman card. He was a project manager at W Soule for many years and learned and practiced in welding as well.

This scholarship will be awarded to the senior who meets the following criteria:


1. Must have attended Gobles Public Schools for 2+ years
2. GPA of 2.5 or higher
3. Must be attending a trade school and show proof of acceptance to that school.
4. Student must show good attendance, be motivated, driven, aggressive in accomplishing their goals and hard working.
5. Written essay to include what trade they are choosing and why, extra curricular activities, and a little about themselves.


The selection committee for this scholarship will be his wife Cindy, Mother Kathie, Sister Jena, and son Jackson.
