School Social Worker Substitute – Seeking a person with a Master’s Degree as a Social Worker,
preferably with a School Social Work Certificate. The successful candidate will have the ability
to meet students where they are, providing social-emotional support both individually and in
small group settings. Candidates should have knowledge, and be willing to carry out screeners
for self-harm, suicidal ideation, along with creating safety plans and communication with parents
or guardians. Candidates should be knowledgeable of the McKinney Vento Law and protections
it provides to students in transitional housing. Other job responsibilities include the following:
observing students with behavior concerns, writing behavior plans, attending monthly student
intervention meetings, supporting teachers as needed for classroom behavior concerns and
