Cross Country

Saturday, October 30, the Tigers competed at the D4 Regional meet in Allendale. This meet determines who will compete at the state meet in Brooklyn MI at the Michigan International Speedway. The Girl's team placed 8 out of the 14 schools represented and competed with grit. Captain Samantha Paladi came close to her Personal Record (PR) and Helena Carretera battled through injury to narrowly miss her PR as well, while Kaylee Chaney finished only a few seconds behind her Season Record.  Aziza Jumaeva and Zoie Wood set Personal Records (PR) for the day. It was a great day to compete! 

The Boy's team placed 3rd out of the 14 schools at Regionals and in doing that qualified to compete in the state meet. The top 15 runners earn medals and those include Gavin Hancox 12th (PR), Alex Austin 5th (PR), and Nile Devers 2nd place. Chris Ruiz all but sealed the team to qualify for state by placing 19th (PR), and Ethan Wait 55th. Pepe Martin (PR) and Drew Thorpe will also be competing at the state meet. - It was a great day to race, it was a great day to be a Tiger!
