Gobles Elementary School

In Mrs. Coombs' first grade class, they use secret stories to help them learn to read and how letters behave together. Vowels are superheroes because they say two sounds. This week first graders have been learning about the letter 'A.'  They acted out the story of the letter 'A.'  When it is undercover, the letter 'A'  likes to eat apples all day and say its short sound. When it sees it is needed to be a superhero, it says its name. Our first grade superheroes are excited to learn more about the secret stories this year!
