In Mrs. Pearson's first grade class, students are learning how to add two digit numbers together using the place value method in math
They use dry erase boards to write the addition math problem and draw a picture of the two digit number with base ten blocks (tens and ones). They add the ones column, then the tens column, and sum it up to calculate the answer.
