 Infinite Campus 2008.2 Midyear Release

Highlights of the release 2008.8 include:

Campus Grade Book
An improved, standards-based grade book option will be available. Teachers can use standards-based grading in the classroom in addition to conventional grading. Grading for individual assignments will be managed by the teacher through the Lesson Planner. Standards-based or conventional grades can then be posted on the Campus Portal and provided for reports, report cards and transcripts.

Campus Scheduling
Processes have been streamlined for the scheduler by providing similar navigation when moving between the Campus Scheduler and the Campus Walk-in Scheduler. This will be accomplished by simplifying data entry and views. Teachers will also have the ability to recommend future courses for individual students and will automatically populate the student’s course requests.

Campus Assessments
Several enhancements received from users across the U.S. have been incorporated into Campus Assessments. More options will be available for setting up assessment information to meet the needs of individual districts. In addition, nomenclature changes have been incorporated to more clearly define curves and grading scales.

Campus Portal
A new Teacher Newsletter will be available to reduce lost messages given to students at school. A To Do list for parents, guardians and students will be added to conveniently show what assignments or projects are due or incomplete on one screen. The Campus Portal will also present a standards summary for each student so parents and guardians can review these in addition to traditional grades.

Campus Reports
Improvements to reports, pre-built and ad hoc, are aligned with the changes taking place with the new standards-based grading being developed. A visual analysis tool will also be provided so teachers can quickly understand the statistics associated with a graded event.
