Mrs. Ryders' Teacher Page
Welcome to my teacher page!
Hard to believe, but I have been teaching for Gobles Public Schools since 1994. I began my career teaching middle school special education. I have moved around a lot, building to building, teaching every grade from Developmental Kindergarten to ninth grade. Currently I am one of the GSRP lead teachers. I love what I am teaching. I can't wait to get to school every day. My good friend, Carolyn Brownell is my teaching partner.
I grew up in Kalamazoo and graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School...Class of 1987!!! Wanting to stay close to my family I earned my Bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University; holding teaching certificates in special education, English and elementary education. I also have a Master's degree from Western Michigan University. I just finished my certificate to teach preschool. I hope to finish my career in education teaching the youngest children in our district.
My husband and I have have six children. We have two in college, one in high school and three in elementary school.
I am a total tree-hugging nature lover and pet rescuer. My son Carson and I like to adopt stray cats, and we have a small hobby farm of goats, chickens and ducks. I love to be outside, and love to get my students concerned about the planet, and taking care of animals.
Looking forward to many more years here in Gobles! I feel lucky to have your children in my life!
