Mrs. Boes' Teacher Page
Welcome! I am very excited about working with you and your child this year. My name is Julie Boes. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 1989. I have a degree in Special Education and a minor in Social Science. I have a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I have been teaching 29 years. I have taught 1st grade through 9th grade. I taught 8 years in Special Education then moved over to the elementary building. I absolutely love Gobles School!!
I get the opportunity to teach technology skills to all K-5 students on a two day rotation class. All grade levels will be working on keyboarding, digital citizenship, Google skills and general technology skills. I am also the physical education teacher for the elementary. I see all the students K-5 on a two day rotation schedule. In Physical Education class will be working on developing healthy bodies and healthy minds. We will use many different activities to accomplish these tasks.
I live in Gobles. I love being so close to school! My husband, Rob, is an independent automotive insurance adjuster and a mechanic. My daughter Alexis graduated from Gobles in 2015 and now attends Lincoln Memorial University Medical School in Tennessee and will graduate with her nursing degree December 2018. My son, Luke, is an 10th grader at Gobles. He enjoys playing sports and the STEM program at Gobles.
I am fortunate to know many of you from coaching boys’ baseball and basketball here at Gobles. Also, many of your children are friends with my children and we have been able to do many things outside of school to help establish a great relationship between your family and me. What a unique opportunity we have to educate and create a fun and exciting year for students at Gobles.
Success is a team effort; parents, child and teacher. Communication is important. You can leave me a voice mail here at school anytime at, 269-628-9417 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
