Superintendent Biography
Jeffery N. Rehlander is the Superintendent of Gobles Public Schools, Gobles, Michigan. Mr. Rehlander joined Gobles Public Schools in April 2012 after owning his own accounting practice in Granger, Indiana. Mr. Rehlander has enjoyed a rich educational career that also included positions in central office administration as Assistant Superintendent for Business Services (Penn Harris Madison Schools, Mishawaka, Indiana), building administration as Principal (LaVille Jr./Sr. High School, Lakeville, Indiana) assistant principal (Penn High School, Mishawaka, Indiana, Discovery Middle School, Granger, Indiana, New Prairie High School, New Carlisle, Indiana, and Northwest High School, Justin, Texas), and as classroom teacher (Schmucker Middle School, Mishawaka, Indiana, Fred Florence Middle School, Dallas, Texas).
Mr. Rehlander currently has his Ed.S in Educational Leadership from Indiana State University, his M.Ed in Public School Administration from North Texas State University, and his B.A. in Health and Safety/Physical Education from Purdue University. With the Gobles Schools, Mr. Rehlander has spearheaded a move to a data-based decision-making model, continuous improvement processes, and accountability. He is passionate to seek ways to increase student achievement, serve the diverse needs of all learners, and decrease costs while increasing efficiencies. He is a strong advocate for public schools as an educational solution in the new normal of market based education. Mr. Rehlander is married to Tracy and they are the proud parents of Emily (Ross), Michael (Sheena), and Stephanie (Tony), as well as proud grandparents to Lucas, Vivian, Jackson, Palmer, Pierce, Dean and Briggs. |
