Nine students from Gobles High School traveled with the History Club, including Travis Blouin, Mason Wiseley, Ron DeVries, Travis Chandler, Tyler Hunt, Adam Fifer, Kailynn Bennett, Paige Adams, and Jaylene Tarkkanen.
The Gobles History Club was also fortunate enough to be able to share the experience with the Bloomingdale History Club.
During the trip, students gained a first-hand learning experience of Belize culture with a packed agenda that included visiting several landmarks, such as the Cayo District, Xunantunich Ruins, Ambergris Caye and the Belize Zoo.
In addition to the trip’s excursions throughout Belize, students were also given the opportunity for snorkeling and scuba diving in Shark Alley.
During the visit, students also delivered supplies to a local school, which included bracelets with “Gobles Public Schools” written on them.
Gobles Public Schools and the History Club would like to thank everyone who helped make this trip possible for our students, including trip chaperones and organizers, as well as the parents.
