Message from the Elementary Principal

It is my privilege to welcome our students and parents back to what promises to be a fantastic year of learning at Gobles Elementary School. Although we will greatly miss the eight teachers who retired at the end of last year, I am confident that the new teachers we were fortunate to hire this summer will be excellent additions to our dedicated teaching staff. We welcome five new teachers for this school year: Mrs. Kristen Pennington-kindergarten, Ms. Tiffany Schafer-kindergarten, Ms. Becca Kunselman-second grade, Mrs. LeAnn Seiler-third grade, and Ms. Lindsay Meulman-sixth grade.

In addition to our new teachers, several Gobles staff will be teaching at different grade levels this coming year. Ms. Barga and Mrs. Stoneburner will teach first grade, Mrs. Pearson will teach second grade, Mrs. Herman will teach third grade, and Mr. Seiler will teach fourth grade.

Class lists for the 2010-2011 school year will be posted on the exterior doors, nearest the main office, at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20. On the first day of school, which is Tuesday, September 7, students can report to their classrooms between 7:45 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. We will have numerous volunteers available to help students find their classrooms.

I am looking forward to our students return and firmly believe that this up-coming school year will be an exciting year filled with outstanding learning and growth opportunities for all our students.

Please remember that the first day of school is a half-day. Students will be released at 11:25 a.m. Our regular school days will be 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
