Reason on the Board: Initially it was to be involved with my children's education. To know what was going on and to help in whatever way was needed. Years later, after seeing four children graduate from Gobles, I still find pleasure in being involved as a school board member and helping in the concession stands at both football and basketball. I believe we have a very special community and school, in many ways because of the community involvement.

We have been members of St. Jude’s Parish since 1986, where I have been the Senior High Sunday School Catechist for 17 years. I have also coached Gobles Little League for 20 years, and served on the Gobles School Improvement Team. I have served on several other professional association boards, including the Michigan Christmas Tree Association, the Mid-America Christmas Tree Association (currently serving), the Michigan Seedling Growers Association (currently serving), and the Legislative Committee of the National Christmas Tree Association.
Personal Interests: Family, Church, Sports, Coaching, Christmas trees :-)
Reasons on Board: As a parent, I am concerned with maintaining the academic excellence being offered to our children. I also understand the important role that extracurricular activities play in the formation of our children. As a long-time community member, I have developed positive relationships with many of the residents of Gobles and believe that I will represent their needs and desires very well. It is my goal to work with the Board, administrators, faculty, and the community to maintain and enhance our children’s overall educational experience. I believe my leadership experience and common sense will be an asset to the Board as it faces many upcoming challenges.
